Kilbourn and the Seventeenths: European Tour Dates

Tomorrow is my last exam, and then straight away I leave with Jenny, Lauren, and Katie for an eleven day tour that will bring us to Milan, Venice, Salzburg, and Munich. It will surely be awesome, though at this point the whole idea is a little daunting–it’s hard to believe all of the things I will have done at the end of next week. I’m also a little sad that we won’t have a couple of days to recover before classes start again; we get home the night before our first full day. This is the opportunity of a lifetime, though, and I am planning on enjoying it thoroughly.

The thing is, I am pretty sure I will be without any form of contact with the outside world while we are traveling. I’ve heard rumors that our cell phones don’t work, and I have a feeling that trying to use my already-expensive mobile broadband modem abroad might (a) cause an explosion of some sort, (b) charge me 30€ per minute, or (c) both. This means until April 10th it’s quite possible that I will be out of touch. I’ll look into international calling cards, though… and I’ll probably be making the girls stop at every oasis of Internet I can find in our travels through the European desert. I’m sure they’ll be sympathetic when I begin to show symptoms of withdrawal.

Off to teach the kids and then to study a little more for Syntax.

  1. Wow, that sounds like a really exciting trip! Hope you enjoy every minute, even as you are going through withdrawl! Maybe you could print off some blog posts and webcomics and read one each day to make it seem like you still have the internets…. eh, just an idea. :)
